Statistics: Russia’s annual inflation slows down to 4.6% in July
MOSCOW, Aug 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s annual inflation slowed down to 4.6% in July from 4.7% in June, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Tuesday.
In monthly terms, inflation accelerated to 0.2% from zero.
Consumer prices fell by no less than 0.1% in 12 regions and increased by no less than 0.4% in 18 regions.
Monthly food deflation was registered for a second month in a row and amounted to 0.3% on the month after 0.5% in June.
Food prices rose 0.2% on the month except fruit and vegetable prices. The year-on-year price rise amounted to 5.5% and 2% since December 2018.
